The cyclist who suffered an accident on Monday night on Estrada das Carreiras, in Camacha, remains in a very serious condition.
The 31-year-old man is admitted to Intensive Care at Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, and has already undergone surgery.
The victim was cycling down Carreiras when he collided with a car that was on the way up. He was left with several open fractures and serious injuries to his face and head.
Aid was provided by the Santa Cruz Sapadores Firefighters and the Rapid Intervention Medical Team.
