Madeiran shot this morning in Johannesburg

It is yet another sad piece of news that has once again shaken the Madeiran community living in South Africa. After we reported this morning yet another kidnapping , carried out last night, minutes ago information arrived that another Madeiran was shot with three bullets while preparing to to open the business where he is the manager.

For now, information is scarce, but it is known that the Madeiran citizen was transported alive to the hospital but his diagnosis remains very confidential. According to local sources and members of the opposition, this is the 17th kidnapping in just six months in the Portuguese community.

Behind this wave of violence, the authorities suspect organized crime gangs, Mozambican, Ethiopian and Somali mafias that are trying to obtain a share of the business market belonging to the Portuguese through violence and force.

  1. Yep, it was once a jewel of the world but now is a crime infested cesspool. Even the blacks themselves lament the end of white rule. I wonder if those limp wristed woke foreign idiots who pushed for the downfall of apartheid could see what misery and crime they helped to create.

      1. Hobbs, when you grow up you will realise that what you read in the media is not always the truth. Yes, apartheid did have its faults but at least it was a country that followed the rule of law, was prosperous, contributed to the world. provided education, health, food and jobs for all. I lived in SA during those good years and everybody (of all races) was happy. Everyone had food on their table and the law was respected. What has happened since then is that a bunch of criminals have hijacked SA to enrich themselves and their friends. The country has slid backwards and is run by gangs and mafia. SA makes no bones about the fact that it is friends with China and Russia, both of which are two of the most oppressive and state controlled countries in the world. Why don’t you start a campaign against these two countries? Apartheid was given a name which any moron caught on and used against SA. What name would you give the oppression that is currently happening in Russia, China and North Vietnam right now?
        Instead of calling me a racist why don’t you go visit SA now? See the potholed roads, raw sewerage running in the streets, millions of unemployed people who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Visit the state hospitals that are now cesspools of filth and no longer have beds, let alone linen or medicines. Have a look at all the barricaded shops who have to conduct business this way to avoid been robbed and possibly shot, but more importantly, have a chat with the locals and ask them whether they would like a return to the old ways.

    2. Keith, Rhodesia became Zimbabwe which became an African basket case. The Chinese have cosied up to the thugs in governement, pay them a huge stipend per month and extract all the minerals and wealth out of the country. Forests have been cut down for their timber, all exported to China. No employment – zero. Most survive by migrating down south where they eke out a living in SA. There are probably more Zimbabweans in SA than in Zimbabwe. So no, not a success (unless you in government)
