Today marks the Day of the Madeiran Region and Communities.
Various initiatives are planned throughout the day.
From 9:00 am to 6:00 pm: Palace Madeira – Jardim Tropical celebrates this day with free entry for residents;
• 10:30 am to 11:30 am – The VioSax Duo will delight visitors with engaging melodies.
• 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm – The MonteVerde Group will bring the energy and tradition of the island’s folk music and dance to the garden.
• 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm – Madeiran artists Vânia Fernandes and Francisco Lopes will provide a memorable show with their music.
10:00 am: Solemn Session with the presence of Miguel Albuquerque and Ireneu Barreto, at the Legislative Assembly of Madeira;
11:30 am: Flower Laying Ceremony at the Autonomy Monument, in Autonomy Square;
12:00: Ceremony of Imposition of the Madeiran Honorary Badges, in the Blue Room of the Madeira Congress Center;
6:00 pm: Region Day Eucharist presided over by D. Nuno Brás;
9:30 pm: Madeira Classical Orchestra promotes a concert commemorating the Region’s Day with conductor Luís Andrade and guest artists Vânia Fernandes, Micaela Abreu, Mariana Pimenta and Alberto Sousa, at Santa Catarina Park.
