Euro2024: Portugal is already in the ‘quarters’!

Portugal qualified today for the quarter-finals of the 2024 European Football Championship, beating Slovenia 3-0, in the penalty shootout, after 0-0 in 120 minutes, in Frankfurt, Germany.

In the ’round of 16′ clash, played at Deutsche Bank Park, Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty in the 105th minute, which Oblak saved, but, in the shoot-out, Diogo Costa saved all three of the Slovenians’ shots and Portugal scored all three.

In the quarter-finals, Portugal will face France – who today beat Belgium 1-0 in the round of 16 – in a game scheduled for Friday in Hamburg, starting at 9:00 pm local time (8:00 pm in Lisbon).
