Albuquerque visits the construction of the Ponta do Pargo golf course

The President of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque, will visit this Saturday, at 11 am, the construction works of the Ponta do Pargo Golf Course, in that parish of the municipality of Calheta.

Under construction, the Ponta do Pargo Golf Course, designed by champion Nick Faldo, will consist of 18 main holes ‘Par’ 72, with gameplay evolution transitioning from ‘Par’ 3 to ‘Par’ 4 and subsequent ‘ Par’ 5.

Near holes 1 and 18, next to the famous Miradouro do Fio, you will find, in the future, the Club House.

The objective of resuming work on the Ponta do Pargo Golf Course was to take advantage of the financial resources already invested in that location to boost the economy of Ponta do Pargo and increase the development of the western part of the island, through a distinctive sporting segment, such as golf. It also aimed to create conditions for investment in the urbanization of the complementary village.

The intervention that Ponta do Oeste is carrying out at the Ponta do Pargo Golf Course is part of the improvement and requalification of sports infrastructures in a specific cluster, attracting tourism to the west of the island and increasing socioeconomic development through actions aimed at completing the investment, safeguarding the public interest through the creation of investment opportunities and job creation.
