The Forest Police recently identified a mountain bike company that was on a Classified Pedestrian Route (PR-5 Vereda das Funduras) with 21 riders.
According to a note issued by the Institute of Forestry and Nature Conservation, “this activity is not authorized in those locations and puts the safety of trail users at risk.”
The administrative offense file now follows its procedural steps.
Hopefully a fine will follow, and these companies know the rules but continue to break them.
